It's finally here! After numerous delays reportedly due to 3G compatibility issues, AT&T finally released the Bold on November 4th. After work I went down to my local AT&T store to find a very disturbing trend. At least two other customers were purchasing iPhones on the release day of the Bold, how can that be? It just goes to show the iPhone is gaining ground in the consumer even though the Storm is rumored to be released soon.
While researching my stocks this morning I found a interesting article that stated iPhone is now #2 in the smart phone space.

RIMM has been slow to market with it's new touch screen the Storm and the price point still seems a bit high compared to the iPhone. The lack of new products appears to have hurt earnings and thus share price. I don't expect earnings this quarter to be much different based on my observations at the Bold launch. Although I do expect Q1 2009 to look much better.
